Your care table
| Topic | What to do | Why it helps |
|---|---|---|
| Shared position | Bright and protected from hot direct sun. | The three different leaf surfaces receive enough light. |
| Boston fern | Keep the root ball evenly moist, not wet. | Fine fronds tolerate complete drying poorly. |
| Peace lily | Supply evenly; let excess drain. | Drooping foliage alone does not replace checking the soil. |
| Spider plant | Let upper soil dry somewhat and check separately. | Storage roots allow different supply from the fern. |
| Growing medium | Loose potting soil and three freely draining containers. | A shared deep water reserve is not a suitable permanent solution. |
| Nutrients | During growth, dose moderately according to the label. | Too much fertiliser can stress roots and leaf tips. |
| Winter | Warm and bright; adapt watering to actual drying. | Less light changes each plant’s activity differently. |
| Household | Keep peace lily away from nibbling children and pets. | Its plant parts can irritate through calcium oxalate. |
Check the compost and pot weight. The care table explains how far the compost may dry.
Water only when needed. The water should reach the root ball without spilling over the rim.
Remove surplus water from the saucer or cachepot. Then return the plant to a suitable position.
A group thrives on differences
Many small leaflets form soft arches in the Boston fern. The peace lily raises larger glossy leaf surfaces, while the spider plant pushes narrow white-edged leaves out of a low rosette. Together these three forms make a lively group without each plant having to do the same thing. The offer is presented here according to its visible plants. Their growth and care matter, not a blanket promise about air quality in the home.
Delivery plants keep their own scale
All three arrive in 12 cm pots. The shop states about 25 cm height for the Boston fern, 40 cm for the peace lily and 15 cm for the spider plant. These figures remain separate; the largest peace lily does not turn the other two into equally tall plants. On a wider surface, you can put the peace lily slightly behind and lower forms in front. Ensure light reaches every pot and leave room for the spreading fern fronds.
Bright light without fixing the group in place
Bright indirect light is a sensible shared starting point. The peace lily must not shade the spider plant completely, and fern fronds should not stay squeezed between furniture and other pots. Protect the group from hot direct sun. If different developments emerge in that position later, the plants can continue separately. A set is an arrangement for presentation, not an obligation to keep three different growth forms in exactly the same place forever.
Three root balls, three moisture checks
Supply the Boston fern evenly and do not dry it out completely. Check the peace lily’s root ball too rather than waiting for severely drooping foliage to water. The spider plant can dry somewhat more at the top and has storage roots. Lift each inner pot separately, check soil and weight, and water only when the particular plant needs it. After drainage, remove remaining water from decorative pots. A shared constantly filled water basin would hide the important differences.
Accompany foliage and roots attentively
Loose soil with free drainage supports all three plants. Their individual root development determines whether repotting is needed. Peace lily and spider plant can gain size more strongly, while the fern also needs more space around its fan of fronds. During growth, feed moderately according to the fertiliser label. Smooth peace lily surfaces can be wiped gently with a soft damp cloth; fine fern fronds are not rubbed forcefully. Remove old damaged leaves cleanly without pulling healthy new shoots along.
Understand flowers, runners and winter light
The white part of a peace lily is a bract around the actual flower spadix. It can turn green or age over time; this does not promise continuous flowering. Fern fronds are foliage, not flower clusters. A spider plant may later form runners and small plantlets even if these are absent on the young offered article. Keep warm and bright in winter. If soil dries more slowly, water correspondingly less, while especially the fern must still not become dry through to its centre.
Do not treat leaf tips and coatings collectively
Brown fern tips may relate to dry supply or unfavourable air; in spider plants, salt load and previous care also deserve attention. Check root balls before changing the whole group. Inspect leaf undersides and bases for pests regularly; spores on older fern fronds differ from moving animals or cottony coatings. The peace lily contains irritating calcium oxalate crystals. Choose a safe position out of reach of nibbling children and animals, and dispose of cut plant parts.
One plant, several views

Good to know
Which plants belong to the set?
One Nephrolepis Boston fern, one Spathiphyllum peace lily and one Chlorophytum spider plant, each in a 12 cm pot.
Are all three equally tall?
No. The shop states about 25 cm for the fern, 40 cm for the peace lily and 15 cm for the spider plant.
Can I water them all by one calendar?
Better check each root ball separately. The fern needs more even moisture than the spider plant.
Is the white part of a peace lily an ordinary petal?
It is a bract around the flower spadix. It can age or turn green.
Are spider plant plantlets already included?
The original shows a young plant without such runners. Plantlets may develop later; they are not promised as delivery contents.
May pets nibble the peace lily?
No. Its parts can irritate through calcium oxalate; position it accordingly out of reach.
