Your care table

TopicWhat to doWhy it helps
PositionBright, warm and with filtered daylight.Leaves should not disappear deep in the shelf.
WateringCheck upper soil and weight before every application.A high suspension does not replace checks.
Taking downStand the hanging pot safely for care.Fine shoots must not tear during handling.
DrainageLet excess drain and empty the cover pot.Constant wetness burdens the root space.
SoilUse loose free-draining houseplant soil. The small root base needs air.
PotMove slightly larger only when genuinely needed.Too much free soil stays wet for a long time.
FertiliserApply moderately during growth, following the label.Supplies follow new shoots.
WinterKeep frost-free and reassess root-ball moisture.Less daylight changes demand.
1. Check moisture

Check the compost and pot weight. The care table explains how far the compost may dry.

2. Water slowly

Water only when needed. The water should reach the root ball without spilling over the rim.

3. Let it drain

Remove surplus water from the saucer or cachepot. Then return the plant to a suitable position.

Small leaves bring patterns to the shelf

Angulata Rocca Vivace does not impress through enormous leaves. Its small oval surfaces carry several lighter lengthwise veins that divide the green. Fine reddish shoots connect them into a loose crown and begin falling over the pot rim. An open bright bookcase gives this foliage a quiet frame. Do not put shoots behind books or between sharp-edged objects. The attractive effect emerges where individual leaves stay visible and have some room to continue growing.

A hanging pot without an invented length

The associated offer describes a 12 cm hanging pot. No fixed total height or delivery length is specified and none is added here. Pot diameter helps choose a cover pot but does not reveal the later length of every shoot. Before hanging, check support, fastening and weight after watering. The nursery pot must sit securely. For unpacking and care, the small hanging pot can stand on a level surface so suspension and leaves are not pulled simultaneously.

Filtered daylight suits the fine crown

Choose a bright warm indoor place without sudden hot sunlight. A shelf is suitable if daylight actually reaches the plant. A deep compartment may look decorative but easily leaves foliage in shade. Observe new shoots: if they become noticeably longer and looser, checking the location belongs to care. Avoid cold air during ventilation and directly rising radiator air. No additional specialised care characteristic is inferred from a general genus description for the trade name Rocca Vivace.

Keep the hanging pot deliberately accessible for watering

Check upper soil and container weight before watering. The root ball may dry slightly but should not remain completely dry for long. Water the soil directly, let excess drain and remove it from the cover pot. A high position sometimes makes this awkward; plan somewhere you can safely take the hanging pot down. The fleshy leaves are no instruction to keep it dry for long periods like a desert cactus. Permanently heavy wet soil is equally unfavourable.

A small root base needs no enormous cover pot

Loose free-draining houseplant soil makes the change between moisture and air in the root ball easier. Repot only when genuinely needed, slightly larger. During active growth, feed cautiously according to the fertiliser label and account for pre-fertilisation. Do not cut all fine shoots back without reason. If one shoot is in the way, first change its course or shorten it selectively. Then observe new branching and the crown. Narrow flower spikes are possible in peperomias but are not promised for this young hanging plant.

Leaf undersides remain part of observation

When taking the hanging pot down, look at leaf undersides, shoot bases and pot rim. Small shields or cottony deposits are more noticeable there than from far away. Remove dust carefully without tearing the fine shoots. In winter keep it frost-free indoors; reassess consumption with less light. A photograph of the same pot side in the plant book shows the crown becoming denser. Compare actual development rather than a fixed shoot count, which varies among living plants anyway.

Good to know

How long is the plant on delivery?

No fixed delivery length is specified in the associated offer.

Can it stand in a bookcase?

Yes, if the crown receives bright indirect daylight and free space there.

Should it hang very high?

It should remain safely accessible for checking the root ball and watering.

Are lighter leaf veins normal?

They belong to the visible foliage of the original plant.

Should I water rarely because of the fleshy leaves?

Root-ball moisture, temperature and light determine this, not a fixed infrequent interval.
